RECURRENT MISCARRIAGES CAUSES TREATMENT AND PREVENTION
Unread post by Queenet »
She came into the office, next thing broke down crying...
Me: madam what is it?
Woman: I'm about to lose my marriage, marriage of 5yrs...broke down again
Me: What is the problem...Stop crying, talk to me
Woman: I've had 6 different miscarriages since I married!
Every time I take in before you know it, I bleed and it's out...
Me: But madam why haven't you come to the hospital since?
"I have been taking herbs" she said...people said it's spiritual
Me: Oya lets discuss "CAUSES OF RECURRENT MISCARRIAGES THEN TREATMENT AND PREVENTION!"

What Is RECURRENT MISCARRIAGE?
Let's breakdown the phrase...
RECURRENT: Something occurring repeatedly
MISCARIAGE: The loss of pregnancy before the 20th week of pregnancy.
"It's the repeated loss of a confirmed pregnancy before the 20th week of pregnancy"
What Are The Causes?
1. GENETICS
- Every fertilized egg gets 23 chromosomes from each parent. There are times it could be more or less making it abnormal.
-The body tries to eliminates it because it's abnormal and this causes 60% of miscarriages and it's common in older women
2. RHESUS FACTOR INCOMPATIBILITY
- When the blood of the mother is Rh-ve and the baby blood is Rh+ve.
- There is a difference in the Rh factor between a mother(-) and the baby(+), the body of the mother recognizes the baby as a foreign body, attacks it and causes a miscarriage
3. HORMONAL IMBALANCE
- Progesterone is the hormone of pregnancy, the hormone that keeps the baby till birth.
- Any condition that raises or reduces this hormone will cause a miscarriage.
4. UTERINE STRUCTURE ABNORMALITY
- The uterus commonly known as the womb houses the child

Anything that affects the space where the unborn baby is supposed to implant itself in the womb such as FIBROID can cause miscarriage.
The cervix that is the gate of the womb sometimes is too weak and doesn't close (INCOMPETENT CERVIX) and this can also cause miscarriage.
5. INFECTIONS
- Infections such as Rubella (German Measles), Herpes Simplex, Chlamydia can affect baby growth and cause miscarriage.
6. SMOKING
- People who smoke weed/tobacco and take alcohol in pregnancy are at risk of having miscarriage because these things affect the child.

PREVENTION OF MISCARRIAGES
1. Rhesus Incompatibility: know your partners blood group and rhesus factor. Let your doctor know, if different you would be given injections that would prevent "Rhesus Incompatibility"
2. Hormonal Imbalance: Your doctors would run a test called..
"Hormonal Assay" find out the hormone that is the problem and place you on "Hormone Replacement Therapy"
3. Infections: Go to the hospital where adequate test would be done to be able to treat infections properly
4. Fibroid: Depending on the size, it could be removed surgically
and the cervix closed up by doing a "Cervical Cerclage" if it's too weak to close.
5. Stop smoking and drinking during pregnancy
MAKE SURE YOU REGISTER FOR ANTENATAL ONCE YOU'RE CONFIRMED PREGNANT!!!
This is for proper monitoring and managing of your pregancy till delivery.
The various causes of miscarriages can either be treated or avoided, SEE YOUR DOCTOR TODAY!!!
Not all miscarriages are sent from the village!
Remain Educated And Blessed!!

As a lady, if you are Rh- with a Rh+ partner, you may need to be treated with Rhesus immune globulin during each pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth, or any event that mixes your blood with Rh+ blood.
This is to prevent subsequent miscarriages.
If the wife is positive and the husband is negative there's no problem. Also there's no problem if they are both negative. Furthermore, there's no problem if the woman is negative and the child she's carrying is also negative.
