APPRECIATION
As we come to the end of this most exciting year 2016 of FOLGONM activities in Lagos State, let's take a moment to reflect on our 365 days of service to the great people of Lagos State and settlers within our different communities.
The Greater FOLGONM Nurses of Lagos State have been providing exceptional and qualitative Nursing services to men and women with minor and moderate infirmities, rehabilitative services to those with disabilities, two way referral services for serious cases and Clientele services to those of our people needing vaccination among other well Clinic services, e.g. ANC, PNC, CWS, YFS, RHS, PMTCT etc.
It is a great thanks to our outstanding Nurse leaders, team members and partners as well as community leaders that made our projected caring services possible and achievable.
During the year in review, our remarkable Nurse leaders and staff team members helped their various LGAs/LCDAs to achieve the successes in areas of health recorded and celebrated.
Our noteworthy and momentous year 2016 National conference could not have been held in such a better fashion than with the attainment of the forum's State's fifth consecutive outreaches' success outcome as stated by all and sundry, notable experienced Nurse Leaders, loyal team members and dedicated committee members, including the generality of our members which has resulted in great benefits and consistency for the people of Lagos State.
Our members are highly appreciated for demonstrating positive attitudes that promoted teamwork spirit and dedication to duties as they carry out their different Nursing services delivery in their various places of work.
As we move into a New Year while concluding the celebration of year 2016 service year, FOLGONM CHAIRMAN AND HER EXECUTIVES wish to congratulate and express our gratitude to our outstanding Folgonm committee members and Nursing staff team members as well as our wonderful health partners and friends of Folgonm Nurses, who made it possible each year for thousands of individuals served to achieve personal and optimal health. We appreciate your commitment and dedication to work despite the acute shortage of staff experienced everywhere which was very tasking in itself.
We appreciate the Assistant Director of Nursing Services, Primary Health Care Board, in the person of Mrs. Oluwatoyin Odukoya, all Apex Nurses at the Directorate and LCDA level, other Nurse leaders, program officers and the teaming Folgonm Nurses of Lagos State for your staunch and unflinching support and dedication. We are indeed proud of you all.
Our overall strengths include the experience gathered over the years, competency, and commitment of the leadership and all management team members and our well qualified staff members. Our weaknesses lie in few members who are yet to grasp the concept of global and dynamical oriented Nursing service delivery and the pivotal nature of Nursing. We hope they will use the coming year to change or be booted out.
Our individual centered approaches in our service delivery areas are of highest quality, and the people served with their families, were treated with utmost respect and dignity, which is their right for seeking care in our facilities. We will continue to do this so that our people at the grassroots will continue to enjoy adequate care services. We are there for you all, so feel free to access that care when needed.
As we move into Year 2017, in the next three days, let all of us continue to be committed to helping the thousands of individuals within our communities achieve sound health through our caring nature, which is our calling.
The leadership of Folgonm Lagos State Council and the executive members look forward to working in collaboration with our parent Association, NANNM and all of you to maintain our proud history of provision of qualitative Nursing service delivery to our people in our different communities within the state and of course , to work in tandem with our colleagues at the secondary and tertiary levels of health service delivery of our state, to uphold the highest standard of successes attainable, so that Lagos State will continue to be a better one for us all.
Thank you.
Long live Folgonm,
Long live NANNM,
Long live NLC,
Long live Lagos State,
Long live FRN.
Itesiwaju ilu Eko....lo je wa logun.
